Grow a Sack and stand up for what you believe!!

So during Obama's heath care indoctrination the other night, when talking about illegals not getting coverage ( which, if you read the bill you would know Obama was blatantly lying about), one good American had the balls to speak his mind, and call the president on his bullshit.

Now, what does this brave American get for calling the President on his Bullshit. Condemnation, from both sides of the aisle. Sackless politicians who think the President above being called out, and are scared of the possibility of what they say affecting their wallets. Screw that! And screw you! Speak your mind, and defend you positions with facts, not fallacies. It seems to me that in Washington that line becomes somewhat blurred.

When Rep. Joe Wilson called Obama a liar, he was just exposing a political tactician for what he really is. Many articles written by smaller papers, websites, and the likes not worrying about pissing off advertisers have shown that the President lied several times throughout that speech. Tom Tancredo was one of the few that backed Rep. Joe Wilson saying "The President is either a liar or he's stupid, and by the way I don't think he's stupid." The Heritage Foundation has posted an article outlining, what they call "10 spurious claims". Now for those of us that are not English scholars, or a dictionary disguised as a bag of meat, the Oxford American Dictionary explains that spurious is an adjective meaning, "not being what it purports to be; false or fake". Another entry says "Spurious also means false rather than true or genuine". Now where I come from that's all just fancy talk for a much simpler word, lie. Also the Oxford Thesarus shows these words as synonyms for spurious,"Bogus, fake, false, counterfeit, forged, fraudulent, sham, artificial, imitation, simulated, feigned, deceptive, misleading, specious; informal, phony, pretend." And the antonym? You guessed it, "Genuine". But I digress, call it what you will. You can check out their article for yourself here

Open Market also has an article "Fact checking Obama's health-care speech: Many false claims" and that can be seen here They outline many lies purported by the President, along with a link to a CNN Money article showing "5 freedoms you'd lose in health care reform" I know I am throwing out a ton of information here that requires a lot of time and reading, just remember this “In a time of turbulence and change, it is more true than ever that knowledge is power” John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

So, you ask me "What can we do?" I say, when someone like Rep Joe Wilson boldly stands up for what he believes in, and is quickly shot down by his beltway peers, we the people need to lift him back up and show that we are behind him all the way. Show him that his bold outburst was appreciated by those who think this country is great, but has just deviated way off course. Drop Rep. Joe Wilson a line, if only just to say "we are behind you". He needs that right now.

I leave you with this last thought today. We must all stand together on these issues, be loud, tireless, unwavering in your beliefs. Fifty-six men risked their lives for your freedom. How will you protect what they gave you?

"It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brushfires in peoples minds." Samuel Adams
